Parents who are interested in enrolling their child in the American School of Creative Science Maliha can fill out and submit this Registration of Interest form. Guidelines to keep in mind while applying to ASCS Maliha for admission are:

• Admission is offered on a first-come-first-served basis. ASCS Maliha welcomes students of all nationalities and the school ensures that no preferential treatment is given to any specific student.
• The student must meet the age criteria set by the Ministry of Education to qualify for admission in the required year.

The admissions procedure for new candidates is as follows:

• Parents must submit a filled registration form.
• Parents of candidates are required to provide the previous school’s report card for the confirmation of the correct grade level of the student.
• A computerised entrance exam and interview date will be set upon submission of the completed application form and report card.
• If a student is offered admission to ASCS, parents will be notified via a phone call and invited to complete the rest of the admission procedures. Parents are required to provide the documents within one week of the confirmation of an available seat for the prospective student. In case there is a delay in the submission of the documents, the school may be forced to give up the reserved seat to another prospective student.

Documents required by the Sharjah Private Education Council while submitting the application form include the following.

• Copy of your child’s most recent report card or ‘To Whom It May Concern’ letter from your child’s current school.
• Copy of the child’s, father’s and mother’s passport with valid residence visa (for expatriates).
• Original Emirates ID card of the child and a copy of it.
• Copy of each parent’s Emirates ID.
• Copy of child’s birth certificate.
• Copy of Family Register (for UAE applicants only).
• Copy of child’s vaccination certificate.
• 2 recent coloured photographs.
• Attested original transfer certificate (TC).
• Attested original end-of-year school report.
• A non-refundable admission Fee of Dhs 500 is required to be paid at the time of registration.

If your child is transferring from another school you will have to provide a Transfer Certificate (TC) at the time of registration.

ASCS Maliha promotes healthy eating habits for their students through a wide range of nutritious foods and drinks they provide at the canteen. Parents can sign their children up for the lunch service. The canteen is fully equipped and has separate menus for Kindergarten and for High School. 

Parents and students can also pre-order meals from online canteen app Hot Oven. The staff deliver the packed meals to students inside the class. Health and safety precautions are implemented.

Students can also bring healthy packed lunches from home. Chocolate, candy, nuts and sodas or other carbonated drinks are not permitted on the campus.

ASCS Maliha has contracted Emirates Transportation services, a reputed bus service company that offers safe and efficient transportation facilities to provide transportation for the students. The school ensures that all the buses comply with the rules and regulations set by the Sharjah Transport Corporation (STC) and Road and Transport Authority (RTA). These buses cover various routes around the United Arab Emirates.

Transportation cancellation and refund policy:

• In case of cancellation, a request form should be submitted in writing to the Transport Department.
• A copy with the complete details of period/facility availed by the student shall be submitted to the Accounts Department.
• Refunds will be processed as per the Ministry of Education rules and regulations applicable to tuition fees.

The American School of Creative Science has up-to-date sports facilities on campus. This promotes students to maintain a physically healthy lifestyle. Some of the sports provisions offered by ASCS Maliha are:

• Playgrounds: The school has both indoor and outdoor playgrounds for Kindergarten, Elementary and High School students. The outdoor playgrounds are shaded and offer a wide range of equipment to play with.
• Swimming pool: The school has a world-class indoor swimming pool on its premises. The school offers swimming classes to students of Grade 3 and up.
• Gymnasium: To make sure the physical development of each student isn’t curtailed, the school has a well-equipped gym on campus.
• Soccer and Basketball courts: The school has fields specifically used for soccer and basketball practice and competitions.

To further encourage physical fitness amongst students, the school organizes various sporting events such as basketball, netball, volleyball, badminton and martial arts. The Multipurpose Hall provides a venue for these events, in addition to the various celebrations and assemblies held in it.

Students of ASCS Maliha can also assume leadership roles and become members of the student council, take part in the publishing of the school newspaper or become members of the UAE Red Crescent.

Students regularly go on excursions organised by the American School of Creative Science Maliha. Kindergarteners of ASCS Maliha recently went on a field trip to Kidzania, where they learned about different job roles and careers and took part in pretend-play of the same. The students also went on a trip to the Creek Park Bird Show and Dubai Dolphinarium.

ASCS Maliha schedules different after-school activities for the benefit of its students. The school has a weekly after-school activity program which takes place on Thursday from 02:00 pm to 03:30 pm.

American School of Creative Science Maliha has a fully functional Medical Clinic on campus. The school employs a full-time nurse to tend to the students and do regular checkups as and when required.

Services like necessary vaccinations, vision tests, hearing tests, dental check-ups etc. are carried out by the school clinic if necessary.

ASCS Maliha implements the use of a parent portal to communicate effectively with the parents. This parent portal serves as an effective medium for two-sided communication between parents and teachers and can be securely accessed using individual login details.

Parents receive information regarding their child’s progress, daily schedule, weekly schemes, assessments, notices, homework, attendance, assessment results, cafeteria utilization and credit, library resource utilization, overall financial status and other details of their account through this portal.
