Admission and Fees

How to Apply to American School of Creative Science Al Layyah

To enrol your child in the American School of Creative Science Al Layyah, prospective parents have to follow these steps:

  • Register your interest at the school. Parents can also visit the school and fill an application form available at the reception.
  • Submit the child’s passport copy, copy of each parent’s Emirates ID and most recent school report (from current school) along with the filled application form.
  • The school will schedule an entrance exam and interview upon receipt of the application form.
  • KG1 and KG2 applicants will be invited to the school with their parents for a formal interview.
  • Grade 1 to Grade 5 applicants (Girls) will be invited for computerized examination & interviews.
  • If the application is successful, the school will offer the child a place and you will be expected to complete the pending admission formalities.

Important guidelines to keep in mind while registering at ASCS Al Layyah:

  • Admissions are based on a first-come-first-served policy, students’ level of success in the entrance exam and availability in the year group.
  • Parents can submit a ‘To Whom It May Concern’ letter from the child’s current school if a recent school report is unavailable.
  • The registration department and the Senior Leadership Team will test and evaluate the applications for KG1 to Grade 5 that students made throughout the year.
  • Prospective students must meet the age requirements as specified by the Sharjah Private Education Authority.

Documents required during admissions:

  • Copy of your child’s most recent report card or ‘To Whom It May Concern’ letter from your child’s current school
  • Copy of child’s father’s & mother’s passport with a valid residence visa (for expats)
  • Original and copy of child’s Emirates ID card
  • Both Parents’ Original Emirates ID cards
  • Copy of child’s birth certificate
  • Copy of Family Register (for UAE nationals only)
  • Copy of child’s vaccination certificate
  • Two recent coloured photographs
  • Attested original Transfer Certificate (TC)
  • Attested original end of year school report
  • A non-refundable admission fee of AED 500 to be paid at the time of registration

Parents must produce these documents within a week of the child’s placement in order to facilitate admissions with the Ministry of Education. All documents must be in English or Arabic. If another language is used, it must be legally translated and authenticated. The school will retain the original Transfer Certificate.

The Transfer Certificate (TC) and End of Term report must be attested by the following authorities if the previous school is:

  • From within the UAE:
    • Stamp of the school
    • Educational zone of the Emirate
  • From other countries:
    • Ministry of Education

Lunch Options at ASCS Al Layyah

ASCS Al Layyah has a canteen on-campus that provides healthy food to its students. The canteen menu aims to promote healthy eating habits amongst the children through a wide variety of nutritious food and drinks. Students can also choose to bring packed lunches from home.

The online canteen app 'Hot Oven' makes it easier for parents and students to pre-order the meals. The dedicated staff delivers the packed meals to students inside the class.
