Blossom Nursery operates multiple campuses across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, all adhering to the British curriculum based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
With over 20 campuses in the UAE, the nursery ensures the success of its educational program through a unique approach that includes personalised assessments for each child. The British EYFS and Birth to Three Matters approaches are integral to the nursery's educational program, as they ensure that children's specific and general needs are met. EYFS is a standard framework for the development, care, and learning of children aged from birth to five years.
The EYFS framework has seven key learning areas, divided into prime and specific areas. This ensures that children receive a comprehensive education that caters to their unique needs.
The prime areas of learning are:
The specific areas of learning are:
With the EYFS framework, Blossom Nursery aims to prepare students for school. School readiness can be measured by evaluating students’ likelihood to succeed in school cognitively, emotionally and socially.
By the end of the educational programme, children can:
A typical day in a young child's life at Blossom Nursery is planned in coordination with their parents. The Blossom Baby Unit is designed for infants aged 6 to 22 months. The nursery does not pressure babies into achieving milestones such as sitting, crawling or rolling. Instead, teachers use comforting and reassuring voices to create a home-like environment for the children. Older babies can explore the campus, develop motor skills and socialise with peers.
In addition to standard academic activities, Blossom Nursery encourages children to develop their reading habits. To facilitate this, the nursery has a library where children can read various materials, including newspapers, books, and dictionaries.
Blossom Nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework but has a unique approach to education called Skygarden. This sensory-based approach to education encourages children to use their senses to explore and learn. The themed activities and experiments are centred around the five basic human senses. This approach sparks the children's natural curiosity and provides them with the best possible learning experience.
Through sensory-based learning, the Skygarden approach also helps children build their knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM). Each classroom at Blossom Nursery has a Skygarden basket, which contains materials of different colours, shapes, and textures.
Blossom Nursery is an eco-friendly institution that follows a People, Planet and Prosperity (PPP) approach.
