Al Sabkha is a residential community in the city of Sharjah. It is one of the 8 residential communities in Al Riqa Suburb offering direct access to Al Kuwait Street and the emirate of Ajman. Al Sabkha Sharjah is a wonderful location for those who prefer a comfortable and peaceful neighbourhood. It’s ideal for families as it has many reputable schools within and nearby. Also, the area is directly linked to Ajman, which is an influential factor in residential and commercial development taking place in the district. Also, residents have access to many supermarkets, restaurants, parks and shops.

Properties for rent in Al Sabkha Sharjah include some of the best residential villas. These residential units come in 3 to 7-bedroom configurations. These spacious units have double-glazed windows, designated parking spaces, separate storage areas and a maid’s room. Some houses also come with a private pool and jacuzzi.

Offering an average space of 4,000 sq. ft. rent for a 3-bedroom villa starts from AED 35k. 4-bedroom villas for rent in Al Sabkha offering 7,000 sq. ft. of living space cost between AED 40k and AED 45k yearly. 5-bedroom rental villas cost as low as AED 55k.

If you travel through public transportation, you can use bus E303A which has 17 stops, departing from Sharjah, Al Jubail Bus Station – 02 and ending in Sabkha, Bus Station – 01. Sharjah to Sabkha bus timing start from 12:00 AM and ends at 10:55 PM.

It is tricky to find a taxi in Al Sabkha Sharjah and you will have to rely on ride-hailing apps such as Uber or Careem.

Residents of al Sabkha can easily access supermarkets, schools and healthcare units because they are all situated close by.

Rashma Supermarket located on Sheikh Khalid Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi Street and it is one of the most popular supermarkets in Al Sabkha Sharjah. Abrar Supermarket, Al Doha Supermarket, Inam Supermarket and Al Madina Supermarket are other local shops people visit to pick up day-to-day items.

For bulk shopping, you can visit the Carrefour Supermarket located in Matajer Al Mirgab which is only an 8-minute drive from Al Sabkha or Lulu Hypermarket in Al Hazannah.

There are plenty of mosques in Al Sabkha within walking distance such as Abu Dujanah Mosque, Anas Ibn Malek Mosque, Al Ghufran Mosque, Umm Qanoor Masjid and more. These mosques are all reachable in about 10 minutes.

The nearest churches are found in Al Yarmook. Well-known options include St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church and Russian Orthodox Church, located at about a 15-minute drive from Al Sabkha.

Hindu temples are quite far from here. Shiva Temple is about a 33-minute drive away in the Bur Dubai area of Dubai. The Sikh gurudwaras are also located in the same Bur Dubai area.

Nursery options include Ayadi Nursery, Zohour Al Mustaqbal Nursery and Big Ben English Nursery.

There are numerous schools in Al Sabkha Sharjah to choose from for the education of your child. Send your children to Secondary Model School for Boys or Al Saleh Private School. They are two of the popular schools in the area located in the sub-community. There are many reputable schools in Al Azra, which is just 7 minutes away from Al Sabkha. Here parents will find Leaders Private School, Sharjah Model School For Girls, Al Resalah International School of Science and more.

University options can be found in Ajman and Sharjah. Preston University and City University College of Ajman (CUCA) are universities in Ajman, reachable within 10 minutes.

Some of the top universities in the University City of Sharjah such as The American University of Sharjah, University of Sharjah and Skyline University College can be reached in 20 minutes or less.

Residents are well-facilitated in terms of medical care as there are plenty of medical clinics in Al Sabkha Sharjah. The only clinic in the area is Al Sabkha Health Centre, while Al Ahram Medical Centre, Kuwait Hospital and Al Sarraf Specialist Clinic are in the neighbouring Al Qadisiya area. Europets Clinic is also located in Al Qadisiya, it is a well-known veterinary clinic.

The residential villa community of Al Ghafia is located to the east of Al Sabkha Sharjah. Its architecture and environment resemble that of Al Sabkha. Villas in Al Ghafia are quite affordable and have various amenities such as schools and supermarkets nearby. Al Ghafia Park is also a wonderful place to relax.

Al Nekhailat is towards the western side of Al Sabkha Sharjah. The properties for rent in Al Nekhailat only comprise villas with slightly higher rates than Al Sabkha. For instance, a 5-bedroom villa covering an area of 6,000 sq. ft. floor area has a rent of about AED125k yearly.

Al Nuaimiya in Ajman is located to the north-east. The rental rate of the villas in Al Nuaiymia varies with the number of bedrooms and the floor area. One can also find various amenities such as medical clinics, supermarkets and schools in the area.

Unlike other places in the UAE, you won’t find many malls in Al Sabkha Sharjah. Most malls are located in other nearby areas. The closest mall is Al Shaab Village Sharjah, which is a very popular location for shopping and entertainment. Al Shaab Village has 250+ stores, an outdoor amusement park, an ice-skating rink, a supermarket, indoor games arena and a cinema hall.

Another popular mall, Safeer Mall Ajman is located at a 10-minute drive from Al Sabkha consisting of many shopping and dining options. Grand Mall in Ajman and Matajer Al Mirgab in Sharjah are also located in nearby areas.

One can find few restaurants in Al Sabkha Sharjah, mainly cafeteria-style budget eateries. A few options include Shams Al Aseel Cafeteria, Al Shathir Cafeteria and Al Jamahir Public Kitchen.

Popular restaurants near Al Sabkha are a 10-minute drive away. Arjwan Restaurant is located in the Sheraton Sharjah Beach Resort & Spa and serves Lebanese food. Others such as Peshawar Hazara Restaurant & Kitchen and My Flower Restaurant are all located towards Ajman.

If enjoying the crystal clear waters of the beach is your thing, then worry not as there are plenty of beaches near Al Sabkha. One of the best beaches in Sharjah namely Sharjah Beach is a 15-minute drive away. Ajman Beach is also a perfect place to enjoy a good picnic with your family.

If you want to make your beach experience even more luxurious, you can visit Coral Beach Resort at a 9-minute drive. It is one of the best resorts in the UAE that allows you to have a 4-star beachfront hotel experience along with many dining options.

People living in Al Sabkha have a tranquil life because the area is not very crowded. People prefer to visit parks in nearby areas. Families enjoy their time visiting Al Shaab Village for entertainment purposes as it offers a theme park for kids to enjoy fun-filled rides. Movie nights over the weekends is also a common activity. People also go out casually to grab a bite at the nearby restaurants.

People usually go to parks for jogging but there are plenty of fitness centres within a short drive from Al Sabkha. Al Hayat Ladies Fitness is one of the popular gyms in the area located at a 6-minute drive. National Centre for Ladies Fitness is another gym in the close vicinity. If you want a better experience, you can visit the Fitness Time Health Club located near Ajman Stadium or Velocity Body Fitness in Al Nuaimiya, Ajman.

For a pampering experience, Fatimah Beauty Center, Lebanese French Beauty Center and Lilas Beauty Center are located in the nearby areas.

Not many community events happen in Al Sabkha but there are plenty of events happening all over Sharjah where the residents can actively take part in. Sharjah Light Festival takes place at popular places such as Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Majaz Amphitheatre and many more places.

Living in a peaceful and comfortable neighbourhood is what Al Sabkha offers. Be it the closeness to schools, supermarkets and clinics or the variety of entertainment activities, Al Sabkha Sharjah provides all of that to its residents. Just keep in mind that some popular restaurants, malls and fitness centres are not quickly accessible as they are in other communities.
