The mosques in Abu Shagara are evenly spread out. These include Masjid Habab Bin Manzar and Al Salam Mosque. Also, the famous Al Noor Mosque is a short drive away from Abu Shagura. However, the residents can visit Shiva Temple and Shrinath Ji Temple in Dubai. The commute to the temples from Abu Shagara will take around 25 minutes.

One can only find a few nurseries and schools in Abu Shagara. Nonetheless, the residents can find various options within a few miles. Following Indian curriculum, Sharjah Indian School is a 6 to 10 minutes’ drive from the neighbourhood. Right next to it is Happy Home English School, which follows the UK Curriculum. Apart from these, parents can also opt for Progressive English School and Radiant School in the nearby community of Al Yarmook. For younger children, the parents can decide between Al Lulu Nursery and Al Farha Nursery; both are a short distance away from Abu Shagara.
For higher education, the Emirates Institute for Banking & Financial Studies is a short drive away. Moreover, University City is a 20 minutes’ drive from Al Shagara.
