When the global financial crisis hit Dubai in late 2008/09, this project was yet to get off ground. In the following months there were constant rumors of its cancellation and a number of groups were formed to urge payment restructuring. The developer, Emaar, eventually offered discounts and revised payment plans to investors and restarted construction in 2010. In 2012, with market conditions having improved, Emaar sold out units on payment plan in the soon to be delivered 29 Boulevard. The project was delivered in 2013 and was one of the most actively traded buildings in Downtown between 2013 - mid-2014. The project has since matured.
