Hello friends, we relocated to the international city for a three-month stay. Compared to other areas in Dubai, it is relatively reasonable. One of the advantages is that restaurants and marketplaces are at walking distance, and having minimal noise pollution. However, the studio, R 26 building, I lived in, had severe issues with the sewage system. It caused a constant unpleasant odour and attracted large number of flying insects in the washroom, which was incredibly bothersome. Despite my attempts to clean it with chemicals, the problem persisted.
The kitchen area was infested with a lot of cockroaches, and despite using insect spray, they were difficult to eliminate. Also there was a recurring bad smell in the morning coming from the sewage system outside the windows.
