Five Jumeirah Village Dubai is a hotel in JVC District 14, Jumeirah Village Circle, Dubai.
Construction began in 2014 and was completed by Q3 2019.
The project was designed by WS Atkins & Partners.
The project is located on plot JVC14VHRG001.
From Five Jumeirah Village Dubai it takes roughly 22 minutes to drive to Dubai Mall, 17 minutes to Palm Jumeirah, 19 minutes to Burj Al Arab and 21 minutes to The Walk JBR.
Dubai International Airport (DXB) is roughly 28 minutes' drive and the new Al Maktoum International Airport is roughly 35 minutes' drive. All durations are calculated by Google Maps and assume the fastest route in typical traffic conditions.
Five Jumeirah Village, formerly known as Suites in SKAI, is a landmark hotel and apartments building at the centre of Jumeirah Village Circle developed by Five Holdings.
The 60-storey 5-Star tower will contain 247 hotel rooms and suites, 221 one- and two-bedroom hotel apartments, and 33 four-bedroom hotel apartments, all with private pools.
The concept is based on a 30 degree rotation of each floor to create a series of balcony sky gardens and 271 sky-high swimming pools.
The gardens will have deep soil beds that allow for real plants and trees at a height of 873 feet above sea level.
Every room will have floor to ceiling windows and all apartments will have a frontage of at least 130 feet.
Interiors will be designed by award winning Japanese design firm Nao Taniyama & Associates.
Within the tower there will be an all-day diner, pool bar and grill, sports bar and a rooftop Chinese restaurant.
On the podium there will be restaurants, a supermarket, gym, boutique spa, a large swimming pool, a putting green, walkways and water features.
The 271 pools and the design of the faade should create a cooler microclimate for the gardens.
In April 2015 the hotel was upgraded from the original 4-Star status to a 5-Star luxury hotel and renaming it the 'Viceroy Dubai Jumeirah Village' in partnership with the Viceroy Hotel Group.
