A stunning floating theatre is coming to Sharjah

WHERE WILL THE UPCOMING AL MAHARA THEATRE IN SHARJAH BE LOCATED?
Approved in 2021 by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, Kalba floating theatre is the most anticipated upcoming attraction in the region. In 2022, the destination’s official name got changed to Al Mahara Theatre. This will be situated in Sharjah’s Kalba region.
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE UPCOMING SHARJAH FLOATING THEATRE?
Linked to the corniche, the theatre will be a wonderful tourist destination in Sharjah with a capacity for more than 1,000 viewers. The floating theatre will host world-class performances and plays on the waters of Kalba.
DESIGN AND ARCHITECTURE: WHAT WILL THE SHARJAH FLOATING THEATRE LOOK LIKE?
The upcoming theatre will take the shape of a sea shell encompassing water basins. The design is inspired by an idea given by H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, a member of the Federal Supreme Council of the UAE and the Ruler of Sharjah.
WHEN WILL THE FLOATING THEATRE PROJECT OPEN FOR THE PUBLIC IN SHARJAH?
The opening dates have not been announced yet. However, the seashell-shaped theatre in Sharjah is expected to complete within a year.
