The long weekend is almost here and to mark the occasion of the 47th UAE National Day, Dubai has a lineup of spectacular events to celebrate. With holidays being announced for the public and private sector for 2nd and 3rd December, the city is geared up to celebrate UAE National Day in Dubai in style! If you still haven’t yet figured out your plans for the long weekend yet, we’ve got a list of 16 UAE National Day events in Dubai that will guarantee a fun-filled weekend. #WOWJBR at Jumeirah Beach Residences (JBR) also has its own list of things to do for UAE National Day in Dubai that place emphasis on the UAE’s vibrant culture and heritage. There will be the traditional Ayala dancers, Razfa drummers and Arabic musicians alongside LED Cyr wheel performers and traditional mascots.

Another great thing about the UAE National Day celebrations is that many popular outdoor retail and dining destinations and malls in Dubai are also taking part. You’ll be able to catch talented Emirati musicians playing traditional Arabic music and enjoy the beats of the cultural band that will be roaming the halls alongside other themed events. Dubai Festival City is also joining in with a list of activities for UAE National Day in Dubai. There will be the fireworks on 2nd December, alongside Ayala dance performances. However, the highlight of the National Day events at Dubai Festival City will be the brand new IMAGINE show that will beam the colours of the UAE flag across the waters of the Festival Bay. The festivities will begin from 2pm onwards, which is perfect if you are looking for a place to celebrate and do some shopping.

Although the fireworks are on 2nd December, the UAE National Day celebrations at The Beach will begin on 30th November and go up to 3rd December, giving you a chance to enjoy four full days of National Day festivities in Dubai. 7. UAE National Day at Children’s City

Kids aged 2-15 will be able to enjoy the festivities of UAE National Day at Children’s City, where they will get to explore educational galleries and indulge in cultural events, traditional food, and dancing. Its the perfect place for a day of fun and learning, so make sure to head on down to the Children’s City in Creek Park.

From 28 November to 3 December, park visitors will get to participate in all the events activities for National Day at Dubai Parks and Resorts to have a holistic Emirati cultural experience. From traditional dances to a themed circus parade with unicyclists, drummers, jugglers and more – Dubai Parks and Resorts is definitely the best place to visit on UAE National Day. Visitors also have the chance to upgrade their Motiongate, Legoland or Legoland Water Park to get access to an additional theme park of their choice for just AED47.

While the coastline at La Mer will be lit up this National Day weekend with a spectacular firework display, there are plenty of other actives at La Mer to celebrate the UAE national day. The Yemen born Khaleeji singing sensation Fouad Abdul Wahed and Emirati star Mohammed Al Shehhi, will take the stage on the 1st and 2nd December respectively, to perform their most popular hits. Apart from this, you will also get to see a seven-metre-long art installation with designs featuring the UAE flag. With all these things to do, La Mer is definitely one of the must-visit places to celebrate UAE National Day 2018.

15. concerts at Burj Park for UAE National Day

Burj Park will also be hosting a range of concerts for UAE National Day in Dubai to celebrate the occasion. Arabic icon Waleed Al Shami will take the stage on 1st December, followed by pop icon Balqees and Hussain Al Jasmi on 2nd December. The performers are big names in the Arabic community and will serenade the crowd with a playlist of their hit songs.

16. Global village National Day celebrations

If you are heading down to Global Village this week, make sure to catch Hamad Al Amri, independent Emirati singer, who is well loved in the region as a seasoned National Day performer. While enjoying the tunes of Hamad, you can also enjoy the expansive spread of entertainment, shopping and food venues in Global Village.
