One of Nakheel’s master developments, Al Furjan is a rapidly growing community in a southern district of Dubai. This fairly new development is gradually gaining prominence as it offers many off-plan residential properties with attractive payment plans. While its first phase is complete and nearly occupied, the developing second phase of Al Furjan gives interested investors another chance to own a property with excellent value for money. While Phase 1 lies in the south and east, this new area occupies the northern and western regions of Al Furjan. TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING SPACES IN PHASE 2
The most frequent route for transportation near Phase 2 is the Discovery Gardens Metro Station, which lies on Route 2020 of the Dubai Metro. In terms of road access, Yalayis Street (D57) is easily accessible. Phase 2 Al Furjan offers access to Sheikh Zayed Road (E11) and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311). MOSQUES IN PHASE 2
Located at the western edge, a newly built mosque in Phase 2 called Al Furjan Masjid has been serving Muslim residents in the community. It has a separate prayer area for females. Another mosque in Al Furjan is under construction and is located at the community centre in the east. Other nearby mosques are on approximately a five to seven-minute drive away. These prayer facilities are Porta Cabin Mosque, Nakheel Mosque and Masjid Abdullah Ali Al Chaafar in Discovery Gardens.
OTHER PLACES OF WORSHIP NEAR PHASE 2
Since it is a religiously diverse city, there are a few temples and a significant number of churches in Dubai. There is a congregation of churches near Phase 2, located in the adjacent Al Muntazah community in Jebel Ali Village. Convenient for the Christian residents, the distance to this neighbourhood is hardly a 10-minute drive away. Catering to Marthomites (Syrian Christians), Dubai Mar Thoma Church holds worship services multiple days a week. St. Francis of Assisi Church is another prominent place of worship in the same area.
There is also a temple near Phase 2 that is based next to the cluster of churches in Al Muntazah. A gurdwara called Guru Nanak Darbar is the Gulf’s first official Sikh temple. Featuring marvellous architecture, this spiritual home is also among the top attractions in Dubai.

Jebel Ali Village Nursery is one of the oldest and well-reputed British nurseries in Dubai. There are two branches of Jebel Ali Village Nursery near Phase 2. One is in Al Furjan South and the other is in Discovery Gardens.
The Arbor School in Phase 2 is the nearest option that caters to FS-1 to Year-13 students. They have incorporated an all-inclusive methodology that involves personalised education for students of every calibre. One of the top-tier British schools near Phase 2 is Winchester School – Jebel Ali, accessible in 13 minutes. Apart from academic excellence, the school offers a range of facilities such as two libraries, a large auditorium, science and computers labs and a music and crafts room.

There are various clinics near Phase 2 that are accessible within a drive of 12 minutes. These include Medicentres Al Furjan, Dental Health Clinic, iCARE Clinics and Dr. Ismail New Polyclinic. The nearest, however, is the neighbourhood clinic called Medicentres Al Furjan. It offers general healthcare services such as paediatrics, family medicine, laboratory and dentistry.

Dreamz by Danube is a new enclave in the neighbourhood that features 171 luxury villas and townhouses. It is located right behind The Arbor School. One of the four exclusive villages in the first phase of Al Furjan is the Dubai Style sub-community. MALLS IN PHASE 2

Al Furjan Pavilion in the eastern district of the master community is accessible in six minutes by car. Bikanervala is an Indian restaurant that offers a variety of vegetarian options and popular sub-continental street food. A few mentions include samosa (fried snack filled with spicy potato mixture), vada pao (sliders with potato dumplings) and dosa (thin pancakes made of rice flour). The menu of Al Arrab Restaurant features some authentic Lebanese dishes. There is also an Italian restaurant called Oregano where diners enjoy having Margherita pizza, pesto pasta, mushroom ravioli, etc.
BEACHES NEAR PHASE 2
The trendy coastal strip of Dubai is approximately nine kilometres away, which means, it will take 18 to 22 minutes to reach one of the beaches near Phase 2. Madinat Jumeirah, which is around 21 minutes away, is among the popular private beaches in Dubai. You can book a day pass and relax in a beach-side cabana while enjoying complimentary snacks and other facilities like sun loungers, umbrellas and bath-towel.

It is also home to The Glasshouse, a licensed restaurant that features indoor and alfresco seating for up to 150 diners. Residents may come across a few small-scale events in Al Furjan. Since it is an emerging community, it won’t be surprising to find several sales events like an ‘Open House’ organized in the area. Most are hosted by private developers on account of their real estate launch. One of the popular events to happen in Al Furjan is ‘Festival of Lights’ that included live music, photo booth, arts and craft, garment exhibitions, kids’ entertainment, spot prizes and competitions.
