It was officially inaugurated on the fifth of September 1979 by His Excellency M.H.Ansari, the then Ambassador of India in the presence of His Excellency Shaik Abdul Aziz Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi.
The curriculum and program of work is in accordance with the requirements of the Central Board of Secondary Education NewDelhi, India. The medium of Instruction in the school is English with Hindi as a compulsory second language. Arabic is taught as per the rules laid down by the UAE Education Ministry. Islamic studies are compulsory for all muslim children. The children who leave the school with transfer certificates are eligible for admission to any school in India. Mission:
The aim of the school is to impart education, laying stress on the intellectual, physical, mental, social, aesthetic and moral development of the children.
The school thus aims at making its own contribution towards establishing principles of social justice, equality of opportunity, genuine freedom, respect for religious and moral values enshrined in the constitution of India in conformity with the social standard of living and etiquette existing in U.A.E.
The schools have drawn out a comprehensive educational system to bring out the latent talents and abilities of the children. Various co-curricular and extra curricular activities are provided to develop the total personality, team spirit and leadership qualities to face challenges in life.

Students already schooling in recognized Institutions in India or in the schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, are admitted in the same class for which they hold the certificates . Students are expected to have studied in the classes, or in the same class the subjects which form part of the curriculum of this school. Students who have not completed a regular course of study in Std IX or XI in an institution recognized by the CBSE are not eligible for admission in Std. X or XII of this school. Once admitted to the school, the student should strictly comply with the rules and regulations of the school.
