The first Director of the college was Mr Edward Mclean from 1993 to 2002. Dr Berry Calder was Director of the RAK Colleges from 2002 to 2004, and from April to August 2004 Dr John McFadyen was the interim Director of RKMC. The current Director of the RAK Colleges is Dr Ian Hall, who has been in charge since August 2004.
