Ibn Battuta Mall

Ibn Battuta Mall is anticipated to become one of Dubai’s most visited sites due to its selection of retail outlets, offering the best in quality and excellence. The entertainment options offered at the mall range from a fully themed children’s area called Kid zone, to a themed Chinese garden and a uniquely designed food court, all of which promise to offer experiences that are both enjoyable and exciting.

Ibn Battuta Mall is home to a 21 screen cinema Megaplex, including the UAE’s first IMAX cinema. The Mall has attempted to create an environment that is appealing to all who visit, offering the community a ‘home away from home. The architectural inspiration behind the distinctive design of the shopping mall is based around the travels of renowned 14th century explorer, Ibn Battuta, a man who traveled over 75,000 miles during his lifetime. The mall will be segmented into six distinct architectural zones, representing key destinations visited by Ibn Battuta.

The six courts are comprised of the Andalusian Court, the North African Court, the Egyptian Court, the Persian Court, the Indian Court and the Chinese Court. The architecture within the Mall’s six main courts is a reflection of the most influential places Ibn Battuta traveled during his time, allowing visitors an invaluable glimpse into the past. Located adjacent to Sheikh Zayed Road between interchanges 5 and 6, the Mall will combine retail, entertainment, restaurants and family activities all within a uniquely themed environment that is designed to reflect the unique combination of the various heritages and cosmopolitan lifestyle that is the very essence of Dubai.
