The Central School, Dubai - (Private)

The Central school, affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education up to class 12 was established in March'82 to cater mainly to the educational requirement of the expatriate community in U.A.E. Management of the school came under the able leadership of Hajji M. K. Kamaluddin in April 1986 and has not looked back from that point onwards. The school was upgraded to senior secondary level in April 1993. With the belief that education must help children to be flexible and adapt to changing world, the school has laid out an extensive programme of co-curricular, apart from the classroom activities.
Facilities
The school is housed in a building with playgrounds, well equipped laboratories, a canteen and other facilities to provide an atmosphere conducive for learning. In addition to Hindi, Bengali and Urdu, the school offers the facility of Malayalam or Tamil as an additional language. Computer studies is taught as an subject from class 1 onwards to provide students with a first hand experience of handling the computers. At the senior secondary level the school offers science and commerce streams. As for the co-curricular activities, in addition to games, and karate training, we also have audio-visual programmers, fine arts and project works.
Curriculum / Programs
The Academic year of the school commences on 1st April and ends on 31st March of the following year. The school remains closed for summer vacation for approximately two months i.e. July and August. The school is affiliated to the C.B.S.E., Delhi It follows the curriculum designed by the C.B.S.E. We prepare children for C.B.S.E (class 10) exams and for A.I.S.S.C exams (class 12).
