The EDAAD scholarship program was initiated by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, launched on July 21, 2001. EDAAD ensures His Highness' vision in providing a strong educational base and exceptional developmental opportunities for tomorrow’s potential leaders. The mission of the EDAAD Scholarship program is to enhance the skill level of national talent and accelerate the overall development of the UAE in the new economy age by sponsoring high achieving nationals to pursue their studies at top ranked universities worldwide.

Its ultimate goal is to enhance the skill level of national talent and accelerate the overall development of the UAE in the 21st century. The EDAAD Scholarship program provides academic and career advising services to each of its scholars to assist them in choosing their major, selecting an appropriate college and to explore their career through internships and work placements. Academic and career advising is available throughout each student’s course of studies. Further by conducting timely career workshops, making online career development resources available we strive to empower our students to make informed career decisions and accomplish career goals.
