The school, started in a rented building is now functioning in an elegant, beautiful and spacious building at Al Garhoud since 1988. From 80 students in the beginning the strength has risen well beyond 4000.The well – equipped and fully furnished laboratory building and the purpose built K.G. building are its pride NIMS, the first outside Karalla became the centre for conducting SSLC examination in March 1985 and we have been maintaining 100% pass since then. The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi for secondary and senior secondary classes. We offer science and commerce streams in class 11 and 12 and in the All India Senior School Certificate examination also the students fared well in the first appearance in 1987 and that trend still continues.
NIMS, Dubai , is again the first one outside Karalla to get recognition from Govt. of Karalla to conduct plus Two (equal to pre-degree) class. In April,1993 the first batch of students appeared for higher secondary (plus Two)examination and in the science stream Rahmath Begum and Sabidha Rahman shared the first state rank. In the science and commerce streams the top state ranks were secured by NIMS, Dubai.
The Academic year of the school commences on 1st April and ends on 31st March of the following year. The school remains closed for summer vacation for approximately two months i.e. July and August.
Scheme of Subjects taught :
The school has four sessions Pre-Primary (KG 1 and KG 2), Primary 1 to 7 secondary 8 to 10 and Higher secondary 11 & 12. Following is the scheme of subjects offered at different levels :
Pre-Primary:
English, Modern Maths, General Knowledge, Drawing, Islamic Educaiton/Quran/ Moral Science, Art and Craft.
Primary:
English, Hindi/Urdu/Malayalam, Modern Maths, General Science, Social Studies, Moral Science, Drawing, Islamic Education/Quran, Arabic, Art & Craft.
Secondary:
English, Malayalam/Urdu, Hindi, Arabic, Modern Maths, Social Studies, Moral Science, Physics/Chemistry, Biology, Art/Craft, Islamic Education.(Additional English and special English std.8 onwards in lieu of Malayalam).
Islamic Education is compulsory for Muslim children. Minimum 50% marks are required for passing in Islamic education examination. Arabic and Social studies are compulsory subjects as per the regulations of the Ministry of Education. Minimum 50 % marks are required to pass in Arabic and 40% in Social studies.

11-12, C.B.S.E (Science Stream, Commerce Stream)
