In 1999 the playgroup was upgraded to being a Nursery and was renamed Jebel Ali Village Nursery. The Nursery was relocated to a larger more spacious seven room facility with large outdoor play areas in the Jebel Ali Village. The Jebel Ali Village Nursery is a fully independent private Nursery school fully licenced by the Dubai's Ministry of Welfare and social Affairs and operates in accordance with the laws of the UAE.
Aims & Objectives

Developing an enquiring mind is one of the most important step in the learning process.
Offer genuine high quality British education and professional care to all English speaking children enrolled at the Nursery, regardless of nationality, race, gender, or social culture.
We introduce children of pre-school age to the early childhood education in a warm, informal, fun but safe and structured environment. Develop and enhance his/her intelligence, self-confidence, self-esteem and independence leading to a trouble free entry into primary school education. A Pre-school is your child's first step towards learning experience outside his/her home environment. This phase should be a very happy and memorable part of their lives, leading to a positive attitude towards life itself.
Our aim is to introduce the children of preschool age to early childhood education in a warm, informal, fun but safe and structured environment.
Develop and enhance his/her intelligence, self-confidence, self-esteem and independence. Leading to a trouble free entrance into the Primary School.
Facilities
All nursery classrooms and playrooms are large and bright and well equipped with quality multi level educational books, reference books, story books, toys, puzzles, lego, construction blocks, games, soft play, simple musical instruments, audio/video aids, and computers etc. Children of each age group are provided with separate spacious, outdoor facilities consisting of large shaded, grass, paved, sand and water play areas. All classes follow a flexible daily routine with snack/drinks breaks and an active session followed by a quite activity.Currently the Nursery has 5 classrooms, 1 creche, medical room, library, 3 large shaded outdoor play areas, large grass lawn, sand and water play areas. It also has access to a swimming pool, parks and fully equipped medical Centre nearby.
Professional outdoor cooling system is installed in all outdoor playing areas. The nursery is staffed with a full time registered nurse. Experienced, qualified/trained and carefully screened British teachers and carers, providing early childhood education and care to English speaking children of preschool age.
Curriculum / Programs
The Nursery follows a carefully prepared early childhood curriculum based on recommendations by the British Qualification and Curriculum Authority (QCA) and the Office for Standards in Education, UK (OFSTED). Providing an age appropriate and balanced coverage of six early childhood learning goals (foundation level):Language, communication and Literacy Development
All children will have opportunities to talk and communicate in a widening range of situations, to respond to adults and to each other, to practice and extend the range of vocabulary and communication skill they use, and to listen carefully. Opportunities will be provided to develop reading and writing skills to explore and enjoy words and text in broad range of contexts, and to experience a variety of book.
Mathematics and Cognitive Development
Opportunities for all children to develop their understanding of numbers, measurements, patterns, shapes and space by providing a broad range of contexts in which they can explore, enjoy and learn, practice and talk about them.
Personal (self awareness), Emotional and Social Development
Support the transition to and between settling in period, promote and understanding of multicultural issues and provide opportunities for each child to become a valued member of that group and community so that a strong self image and self esteem are promoted.
Knowledge and Understanding of the World
Provide opportunities to all children to solve problems, make decisions, experiment, predict, plan and question in a variety of contexts, and to explore and find out about their environment, people and places that have significance in their lives.
Physical development
Health & hygiene - provide opportunities for children to develop and practice their fine and gross motor skills, and to increase their understanding of how their bodies work and what they need to be healthy and safe.
Creative and artistic development
Provide the opportunities to explore and share their thoughts, ideas, and feelings through a variety of art, design and technology, music and movement, dance and imaginative and role play activities.
