The college became, through incessant development, and the adoption of the most advanced theories in education, in addition to the recruitment of some of the most prominent faculty members and researchers, a credited educational institution executing far reaching aims drawn by its founder and patron His Excellency Juma al-Majid.
This prospectus provides the reader with the most essential information about the founding of the college, its development, the teaching plans in the two main areas of Islamic studies and Arabic Language and in the Post-graduate program. The prospectus also describes the various students activities designed to promote their skills and talents in research and community service. The students programs are mainly practiced under the umbrella of the students’ activities unit, the activity forum and the outstanding students’ club in the college. The college is keen to keep the links with its graduates, and this is achieved through a follow-up unit. We are extremely delighted to present this prospectus in three languages, Arabic , English, and French, and we hope it will be useful to the students, faculty members of the college as well as to those interested in Arabic and Islamic studies.
Aims of the College
The college, when focusing on Islamic and Arabic Studies, specifically aims to achieve the following:
Graduation of special daiyyah who is aware of his religion and language, conscious of his culture and heritage and at the same time well informed in the current sciences, knowledge, and religious groups and trends. With all these qualities in mind, the graduate of the college can play his role in preaching the word of Allah and spreading Islam through wisdom, constructive guidance and convincing dialogue. Graduation of the all rounded faqih who is able to teach and preach Islam convincingly in a style void of self interest.
Provision of the qualified and trained daiyyah who is well equipped with the grammar of language, fundamentals of preaching and methods of education.Formation of the mentality which is able to conduct deep and profound research in the fields of Arabic Islamic heritage and its different branches such as conviction (Aqidah), Sharia, Islamic doctrines and Arabic Language. Providing the society with native M.A. and Ph.D holders in Islamic studies who are qualified to teach in universities and high institutes and who are able to conduct research based on comparative and analytical basis.
Graduation of male and female Muslims capable of playing their roles in building an Islamic oriented society.
