While special emphasis is placed on the development of professional competence, the following are seen as essential components of the institution’s responsibility to its students—to inform and stimulate the mind, to develop character, personality, and ethical conduct.
The college is, therefore, dedicated to providing its students with a variety of educational experiences that encourage them to develop as individuals; it fosters in the students, understanding and appreciation of people and helps them gain career skills that allow them to contribute to the professional and personal environments around them.
The college provides an opportunity to enhance and upgrade academic qualifications and professional skills to those who wish to continue their studies after a break in their education. Education at ECMIT is affordable, with the option of paying fees in installments.
Facilities
Library FacilitiesFaculty members can borrow up to 10 books at a time and keep them for the entire semester. They return the books at the end of the semester but are entitled to renew them again.
Journals, magazines or newspapers cannot be taken out of the Library. However, faculty members ask the librarians for articles and essays to be photocopied from relevant journals and magazines Faculty members are intimated regularly about additions to the Library collection. Faculty members seek abstracts of relevant articles from the Librarians. Librarians solicit recommendations from Faculty members for acquiring books, journals and audio visuals for the Library Faculty members refer to course archives containing outlines, assessments and students work for subjects taught in the past semesters. Faculty members are encouraged to actively contribute to the growth and well being of the Library.
Curriculum / Programs
Associate of Science in IT, Associate of Science in Business – I, Access Program, to prepare students for University education, TOEFL preparation and testing, Certificate courses in Business Administration (ABE), Diploma in Management Studies (EDEXCEL), Diploma in Hotel Management (CTHCM), Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA).
