Cambridge College International Dubai - (Private)
![]() |
Now in its 72nd year, Cambridge has serviced the St George, South west Sydney and Sutherland areas. Gordon a McKenzie was the founder and built the college on a solid foundation of business skills. Arthur H McKenzie, his son, guided the College into the new era of the international student market in 1980. Kathleen McKenzie is the current Principal for English language, Business and Information Technology programs.
The McKenzies have over 140 years experience in service to education. They have always had a history of service to vocational education through the Commercial Education Society of Australia, an examination body, the Australian Council of Independent Business Colleges, the Australian Council of Private Education and Training and English Australia and the International Development Program.
Cambridge College has always been innovative - from the training of men into employment for office skills in the 1930s to the re-training of the servicemen after WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War, to the introduction of the course of Beauty, Charm and Poise in the 1950s, to coordinating the high speed Shorthand Speed Competition through the CESA, through rehabilitation training, to being the first to introduce the Assertion Training for women, to being the first private vocational college in Australia to recruit international students, to introducing and placing international students into university courses based on their results from Cambridge, to introducing computing technology to students in 1980, to starting one of the first private English language schools in Australia, to being the first successful private provider to win the NSW government contract to train non-English speaking background people displaced from the Textile, Clothing, Footwear industry, to incorporating the latest technology from overseas.
Cambridge College is now training the grandchildren and the great grand children of the original students. Cambridge's philosophy has always been to provide people with the opportunity to raise their standard of education so that they can take advantage of the opportunities for employment and/or further education. Since 1934, Cambridge has provided a mentoring system for anyone who had studied at the college. It is not unusual for a former student to ring and ask for advice (even 20 years later) on the type of further study best for them or to keep in touch by writing at Christmas or even calling in to say Hello (with their children in tow).
Cambridge now offers training in English language, Business, Information Technology and Accounting. With such a long history, Cambridge offers stability, consistency and experienced, caring teaching staff. Students who study at Cambridge set out to reach a goal that their families have set so that they can enjoy the opportunities for success in Australia and globally. Cambridge College International has been welcoming students in Sydney since 1934. Over this time the college has developed into a well established business and technology centre.
Cambridge College International runs morning and evening classes. The classes are small and practical, often using interesting excursions as a delivery method. Instructors use the latest technology and reference material. Language assistance is available in the initial stage of enrolment. The college offers flexible assessment of its courses. We at Cambridge College International understand that choosing your education provider is one of the most difficult step in life, so we try to assist you in any possible way and ensure that your experience at Cambridge College International is interesting, enjoyable, and helps you achieve your career and education goals.
