Bridges: Fixed sitting bridges are the most comfortable tooth replacement for filling in gaps. A bridge feels like one’s own tooth, can look similar or even be better than one’s own tooth and have an similar biting effect. They are also treated like the natural teeth. My experienced lab technician produces ceramic teeth for your mouth "according to measurement". With a highly artistic approach a complicated multi layer build up a natural looking tooth will be produced and different shades of colours combined. That way you will receive teeth the way nature made them. To get the highest possible natural looks, it is necessary to make an appointment with the lab technician. He will then do the fine tuning of the colour by colouring the tooth in the mouth. The gum lays around an optimally made bridge with absolutely no infection. In order to prepare such an aesthetical bridge the dentist needs a high technical knowledge and years of experience. The durability of such a bridge if done properly and with conscientious treatment by the patients is 20 years and more. Implant Treatmnet: Implants are artificial tooth roots, which are fixed in the jaw bone through an operative intervention by an Implant specialist from our team. It is then possible to place on crowns or bridges on top of the artificial roots (made out of Titanium). If more teeth are missing, the Implant treatment can be very complicated in some cases. However, for the patient it is the most comfortable alternative to regular bridges and dentures. With having an implant holding tooth replacement one does not have to file a "healthy tooth".
There are no bothering hooks and no unpleasant upper dental plate in the mouth. The patient has a natural tooth feeling. The Implant carrying tooth replacement demands a high technical knowledge and a very high time consumption for both dentist and patient. It is the most expensive prosthetic choice. The general dentistry is aimed at looking at the teeth and the jaws not as an isolated chewing organ but as a part of the overall person. A specialty field is the general jaw orthopaedics. This goes back to Prof. Balters, who recognized that through the treatment of tooth and improper biting many illnesses of throat, nose, ear sections and even improper body posture can be extensively improved. To this effect he developed a special apparatus, the "Bionator" through which physiological power is inserted to achieve a long lasting successful treatment.
