Iranian Sharjah Educational Complex - (Private)


The building of the Iranian Sharjah Educational Complex was built in 1972 and inaugurated during the academic year 1972 – 73. This Complex consists of two separate wings one for girls and the other for boys. During the morning shift the girl students of Pre – university, high school, junior high school attend the classes while in the second, shift the boy students of the same classes come to the school. However, shifting program is rotatory on the weekly basis.
Facilities
School offers facilities as to recognize and direct the students’ artistic potentials, promote their growth and helps to create solid individuals, to raise faith awareness, religious believes and develop the sense of pride regarding the ancient Iranian culture and the virtues of true Islamic society, to encourage creativity along with the art of criticizing and being criticized, to introduce the students with the national heritage and ways of preserving it, to promote the knowledge of Iranian history, culture and arts suitable with the ideal Islamic society. Annual Competitions are held in 3 levels, in the following categories Visual arts, Painting, Calligraphy, Photography, Theater, Poetry, Story writing, wall newsletter writing.

The winners in each category receive valuable prizes. Every school year, with the help of teachers and based on the individual students’ interest few of them are selected as “health aid” to assist the school health supervisor. Health aids are grouped according to their responsibilities as one person is selected for each class. He/she is responsible to oversee the basic hygiene of his/her classmates. For every 100 students, 1 person is chosen. These aids are responsible to supervise the order and cleanliness of the school ground. For every 100 students, 1 person is selected.

These aids are responsible to observe and control the quality standards of food items in the school cafeteria. Music competition is one of the most popular events amongst the students. The creativity, joy and the artistic composition/integration of music and lyrics makes this competition very attractive to music lovers. Organizing choirs groups at class and school levels is an important and huge task, and requires music ability and experience, not to mention patience and extreme diligence.
Curriculum / Programs
There are many educational curriculum designed for boys and girls ranging from elementary to junior and high school and pre-collage level, in the mornings and afternoon sessions. During the month of Ramadan, due to coinciding the afternoon classes with the time breaking the fast, class schedules are changed accordingly. In the month of Ramadan morning classes begin at 7:00. There is Koran recitation during the first 10 minutes of classes. The school day finishes at 3:30 PM. Note: On Wednesdays, classes end at 4:05 PM. Reminder: The class schedules for boys and girls shifts monthly.
