In addition ECAE will provide ongoing accredited professional development programs for teachers and administrators. New buildings incorporating first class facilities including ICT have been designed to accommodate initially 4000 full and part-time students. Ongoing professional development will guarantee that new and existing educators will meet and exceed the standards and expectations of a dynamic learning environment, enabling the UAE to grow educationally to the highest levels demanded internationally.
This purpose built institution will provide state of the art teacher preparation, educational research, and leadership development to UAE Nationals, using a mix of local and international expertise and curriculum. ECAE will also offer a Post graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), and provide ongoing Professional Development courses for teachers and administrators.
Curriculum / Programs
This quality 4 year degree program provides graduating high school students with an exciting and dynamic opportunity to pursue their chosen career in teaching. In addition, they provide schools with well qualified and highly sought after graduates in relevant subject areas. The Bachelor of Education program prepares trainee educators to teach in grades K-5, specializing in English, Maths, and Science. To achieve this, ECAE have combined expertise from international faculty and invaluable local experience to ensure instruction is of the highest quality, enabling educators to meet and exceed the standards and expectations of a dynamic learning environment.Our degree program integrates the best of an academic degree with an excellent foundation in the education field, providing new educators with the necessary skills, to enable the UAE to grow educationally to the highest levels demanded internationally. The PGDE program prepares qualified university graduates to become school teachers. This one year program equips future educators with the essential skills and knowledge for a challenging and satisfying career. This highly respected qualification initially prepares trainee educators to teach in grades 6-9, specializing in English, Maths, and Science.
The part time PGDE program provides school practitioners with the latest developments in education studies and content upgrading in specific subject areas. Educators complete courses structured at different levels, including completion of a teaching portfolio. This qualification will equip and upgrade teachers with the essential skills and knowledge for advancement in a challenging and satisfying career. For those educators without a degree in education, this program provides an opportunity to gain the required courses and/or credits to obtain the PGDE, providing them with an excellent foundation in the education field.
The Professional Development courses are designed to provide school practitioners with the latest development in education studies and content upgrading in specific subject areas.
