The Model school, Abu Dhabi, started functioning from 15th April, 1987. This school is an association of New Indian Model school, Dubai and Sharjah and managed under the chairmanship of Haji M. K. Kamaluddin. The model school , Abu Dhabi, caters to the educational needs of the Indian community for the past twelve years. The school’s chief objectives are to instill a positive attitude for learning; to provide good opportunities to discover and foster interests and talents in all activities and to mould their character for making them good citizens of the future.Hefz, tajveed, deeniyath classes are conducted for Muslim children. Special attentions are paid to the tiny tots and weak children.

By dedicated efforts of the teachers and cent percent co-operation of the parents and students the school is maintaining 100% pass results with maximum number of distinctions and first class in SSLC from 1992 and higher secondary from 1994. Twice the students secured 8th state rank in SSLC and twice 1st and 2nd state rank in higher secondary science stream. The school has launched an ambitious construction programme at Mustafa to house the school in purpose - built class rooms and plan to improve the existing facilities for curricular and co-curricular activities.

Curriculum / Programs
The Academic year of the school commences on 1st April and ends on 31st March of the following year. The school remains closed for summer vacation for approximately two months i.e. July and August.

Scheme Of Subjects Taught:

The school has classes from L.K.G to 12 std. Following is the scheme of subjects taught.

L.K.G & U.K.G:

English, Modern Mathematics, General Knowledge, Drawing, Islamic Educaiton/Quran/ Moral Science.

Std.1 to 7:

English, Hindi, Malayalam/Urdu/Tamil/Bengali, Arabic, Modern Mathematics, General Science, Social Studies, Drawing, Islamic Education/Quran/Moral Science.

Std 8 to 10:

English, Malayalam/Additional English or Special English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Social science and Mathematics. Arabic is compulsory for std. 8).

Higher Secondary Science Stream:

English, Hindi, Physics, chemistry, Biology, Mathematics.

Higher Secondary Commerce Stream:

English, Hindi, Business studies, accountancy, Economics, Political science. Islamic Education is compulsory for Muslim children. Minimum 50% marks are required for passing in Islamic education examination. Arabic and Social studies are compulsory subjects as per the regulations of the Ministry of education. Minimum 50 % marks are required to pass in Arabic and 40% in Social studies.
