The Art Workshop offers activities that will allow the children to express ideas and feelings through a variety of media. They will also experiment with new techniques and materials. During these activities the children should develop a sense of design, color, texture, and form; self-expression, creativity; imagination; self-confidence; fine motor development; co-operation; vocabulary; language. The Educational Technology Center is equipped with an award-winning multi-sensory educational technology that is adopted by many Boards of Education across the United States. The center offers engaging and effective activities that incorporate English, Math, Science, Social Studies and Music. The Music and Drama Theatre offers children the chance to express their ideas and feelings through verbal and physical expression.

Drama: Children acquire basic dramatic skills learned through performances, movement and repetition. Music: Children demonstrate an understanding of rhythmic patterns, as well as recall and repeat familiar songs, dance, steps, and rhymes. Singing and musical instruments, besides offering pure enjoyment, help the young child develop many pre-academic skills. The Imagination Station is equipped with free-play and role-play games with home, supermarket and dress-up corners that promote imaginative play to help children express themselves freely and to interact with their peers and have fun! Such activities encourage a child’s development of language and thought processes as well as self-discovery.

Teddy Bear Nursery’s activities program revolves around five developmental areas, Intellectual Development an overall rather than a specific approach is promoted for play, behavior and learning. Children learn how to make choices, make decisions, and develop their own explanations for the things that happen around them, develop their own theories and express themselves correctly. Physical Development Here too, a global approach to the development of overall and fine motor skills is promoted, and the children are encouraged to develop body awareness, discover their own potential and become aware of physical well-being.

Social Development Gradually encourages children to understand self-respect, and respect for adults and other children, to build relationships with others through communication, sharing and cooperation and to negotiate and make compromises. Moral development Teach children to live in harmony, reject violence and value tolerance, and to respect others and accept their differences. Emotional Development Show children affection and encourage children to be affectionate amongst them, to be proud of what they can do independently, to be a good winner and a good loser and to express positive and negative emotions.
