These are some of the reasons which have made this one of the most frequently used seaports in the world. The area is serviced by Dubai Metro and has various bus stations. Al Maktoum International Airport was opened in 2010 in Dubai Jebel Ali. Named after the late ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, it is one of the major airports of Jebel Ali Village and Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZ). Although, JAFZ allows foreigners to buy property of their own, many expats have acquired houses and villas in Jebel Ali Village on rent.

What it offers is more than a few activities for time pass. It boasts a huge golf resort and spa, which also acts as the main hotel of the complex. Jebel Ali Palm Tree Court and Spa is the second high class hotel in Mina Jebel Ali with loads of bars and lounges. The Sunset Lounge, Joya Latin Bar, White Orchid Lounge, Palmito Pool Bar and La Fontana Infinity Pool and Bar are a few notable names. If and when you run out of things to do in Dubai Jebel Ali, you can always head to Dubai Marina which is close by. Dubai Marina is the high end wonderland which attracts loads of tourists. It is famous for its fine dining options that give you the taste of luxury. Be careful while travelling to the area though since unlike Jebel Ali, Dubai Marina does not have a free flowing traffic.
