Al Qusais is a large affordable community located in the Deira region. Falling on the eastern side of Dubai, Al Qusais is a community which is still in touch with the traditional side of the city, much like Deira. It is bordered by Al Twar and Hor Al Anz areas in Dubai. Although Al Qusais is a huge mixed purpose community but the larger section of this community is dedicated to industrial usage. Al Qusais First, Second and Third are primarily residential areas whereas Al Qusais Industrial Area First, Second, Third, Forth and Five are purely industrial areas which lead into Sharjah's industrial areas.

Other than Al Twar, Muhaisnah and Al Nahda are two of the other huge residential communities which form the neighbourhood of Al Qusais development. Since Al Qusais in itself is a pretty big residential community, it is studded with dozens of quality educational institutions. Because of its multi-ethnic population, Arabic, Australian, British, Asian and American school systems are commonly found. Some of the renowned institutions of the area include Al Sadiq School, The Westminster School, Star International School, Philadelphia Private School, Apple International School, Dubai Scholars Private School etc.

There is no dearth of medical and healthcare facilities in the area. Although there is really no telling as to how many public and private clinics are in operation in Al Qusais Dubai but two of the most popular healthcare institutions of the area are Zulekha Hospital and the NMC. Both of these are open 24/7 and provide the best of healthcare facilities to the patients. NMC especially is a futuristic hospital that is well-equipped with some of the latest hi-tech Multi Slice CT Scan and MRI machines. Mini VM polyclinic, Joseph's Clinic and Al Deyafa Medical centre are some of the other popular medical centres of the neighbourhood.

Al Qusais Dubai is a huge residential community so to go about the neighbourhood, a majority of the residents have private cars. Despite the abundance of private cars, there is no lack of parking space in the area since it is not a hotspot for tourists. As far as the public transport goes, the area is serviced by the Green Line of Dubai Metro network. The area is serviced by no less than 5 of Green Line stations. Other than that, Al Qusais has an Airport Freezone, which is at a 2 minute drive from the Terminal 2 of Dubai International Airport. In that sense, the area is well connected from all around.

As compared to the rest of the city, Al Qusais forms the quieter part of Dubai real estate sector and that is to say that it makes the perfect community for all those who crave peace and quiet.
