Both are the top Arab cities of 21st century, having huge inward investment flow and massive projects. Both cities are expected to offer a very high standard of living to their expatriates and residents, having imaginative development projects. Who will lead the competition?

Hi Imtithal Sahar,

Opinions might differ but i think you should have compared Abu Dhabi with Dubai. Abu Dhabi is the capital of UAE and it is also been greatly invested in.

Hi Imtithal Sahar,

It is quite hard to decide between Doha or Dubai, both GCC cities are having huge investment and massive projects but in recent survey about Cost of Living that has been conducted by leading HR company, it has revealed the rankings of a majority of the GCC cities. According to that survey, accommodation cost has decreased in Dubai, driving down the cost of living for expatriates and residents.

On the other side, halted projects are on the move again in Dubai, government is taking more interest in new projects and private sector is making more investment to shake off the effects of recession. That is why, in my opinion, Dubai can be titled as "Top GCC Business City".

Hope it works.

Dubai has always been looked towards by investors for its growth and fantasy developments. Doha's more controlled pace of progress may turn out to have more staying power than Dubai's frantic growth.

Doha is much more focused towards agricultural growth and heritage promotion. I think as far as a GCC Business City, Dubai has much more options to offer.

Thanks

Hi,

Well in the recent scenario I think Dubai is still a better option for business but it would be incorrect to underestimate other GCC countries. Dubai is on top because it moved its focus towards business, financial service, travel, tourism and development long while ago.

So, it has a competitive edge over others. But I believe that Doha and Abu Dhabi will soon come to the level of Dubai and will give it a tough competition.

Although Dubai is suffering from a bad time but it has tasted the success , it will regain the fame , the wealth , the immigrants, the investors in few months from now. Hope Dubai will be more stable now if it is striving to learn from its mistakes.

Hi Imtihal!

I do agree that Doha is a modern city of this century but it can't be compared with Dubai in any field. Dubai is famous for being a toursut hub in this region and investors from all over the world and belonging to almost every field have invested here. It's an honor and privilege for the companies to have offices in Dubai and these and so many other factors which make Dubai unique and far better than Doha city.
