The investment decision entirely depends upon your budget. However, if you are looking for long term steady gains in form of rental amount then I would suggest you to invest in studio or 1 bedroom apartment as these apartments are more in demand for rent. If you are looking for more capital gain in the long run then you should invest in bigger property.
1bed or studio is the best investment option with maximum returns in terms of rental income as well as equity gain with minimum risks.
Regarding location, if you can invest in dubai Marina, then definitely go for it. It's the most in demand location in dubai. Otherwise between International City and DSO, there is not a big deal of difference, as you can see from the search trends they both are pretty much have the same demand.
