Whats the difference between freehold and leasehold as per Dubai law? The Ad on Cedre Villa's in DSO is freehold, does it mean the land belong to you with the property for life like in UK and other countries?

Hi,

You have summed it up correctly, all freehold property is entirely owned by you including the land for the rest of your life just like in UK. There are many areas in Dubai which are classified as freehold and you can buy freely in these areas.

Just to clarify again, the terms freehold and leasehold in Dubai hold the same meaning as they do in other countries.

Hope this helps.
