Emaar has warned that it would publicly display the names of all those residents who haven't paid their services charges. I think the issue should have been taken more lightly. What's your take on that ? Is this the right kind of environment to take up things like that?
Emaar Properties have tried a lot to make the owners understand that the service charges are for their benefit and they must pay it regularly but still they are unable to collect them.
In my opinion it is not the best way to get the service charges paid but I guess Emaar Properties is left with no other option.
Hi Khalid,
If people are running away from their responsibilities then I think Emaar is taking the right step in recovering the service charges.
Or other option can be that Emaar representatives can go personally to the residents and give them a final legal notice for the payment as residents are more afraid of getting into a law and order situation.
Well Al-Khalid I think only threat of displaying names of all residents who have not paid the service charges is not workable, this issue should be dealt strictly. For example, issuance of legal notices seems workable for non-payers or any other relevant action as people won't be afraid of just displaying the names.
Emaar Properties should take right steps to cover the service charges.
