Officially and legally all properties rented out need to be registered with RERA.
At times both tenant and landlord come to a mutual understanding and don't register, the only downside to this is that both the tenant and landlord and losing on the coverage and protection under the law.
As per the law No 26 of 2007, All companies and individuals acting as landlords need to register their tenancy agreements. This includes locals and GCC Nationals.
