I do not have personal experience to live there but as much as I know about this locality is that the locality has several amenities and located at a very good location in the city. I am in Dubai till tomorrow evening. Are you a real estate agent ? I would be very interested in visiting the area and possibly a few houses tomorrow evening after 18h.
As advised by Arub, Old Town Dubai is an ideal location to live at. You will be really close to the Dubai Mall which is a great plus, however if you need to travel by Metro then you would need to keep 5 to 10 minutes of traveling time aside.
It depends where your office is located, as there are other equally nice areas to live at, which might be closer to your office.
Also how big is your family? Do you have school going children. If yes then have you looked into which school they will be going to? Just a few thoughts before you finalize your decision.
