Rent Contract Forms Available OnlineMonday, December 29, 2008
The Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA) has opened an online facility for the registration of rent contracts, a media release said on Sunday. Currently the rent contracts could be registered by visiting the RERA office. The user of the online facility should have the plot number and community, tenancy period and amount, passport number, visa number (if required) and the DEWA consumer account number, to complete the online registration form. Users can download the sample of the lease contract by logging on to www.ejari.ae. RERA urged the real estate companies to use the online facility ‘Ejari’, a web site launched by the authority. Ejari (my rent in Arabic) is the first step towards providing more functionality in the leasing industry,” the media release said. RERA, envisages a transparent and effective regulatory environment in which various entities pertaining to real estate can conduct their business as part of this vision. RERA would like to create an online community and marketplace thus enabling various categories of stakeholders to interact and transact with each other and with the agency,” the statement added.
