Gulf News Sponsors Property ShowFriday, October 02, 2009
Al Nisr Group and Worldwide Shows and Events have signed an agreement for Gulf News to become the title sponsor for the Worldwide Property Show in 2009, renewable for an additional two years. Returning to the Grand Hyatt Dubai on October 29-31, the event will now be known as Gulf News Worldwide Property Show. Despite having to cope with the Gulf War, 9/11, the Sars epidemic and now the current global recession, the Worldwide Property Show is one of the few property exhibitions to survive. The show was launched in the UAE in 1995, and is now the longest running property exhibition in the Middle East. It has also travelled successfully to Hong Kong, Singapore, Zurich, Boston, Bahrain, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Seoul, Muscat and Doha. Although local developers from the UAE exhibit, the event predominately attracts companies from overseas, providing expatriate and Emirati investors and buyers, with a platform to source and find homes for holidays, investment or for retirement abroad. In October 2008 the show attracted more than 60 exhibitors representing 32 countries with 3,900 visitors attending the two-and-a-half day show. George Betz, International Sales Director at Worldwide Shows and Events said: "Interest in overseas real estate is definitely back on many investors agenda, with the US, England and Asia seen as the top spots. This agreement with Gulf News will provide us with additional exposure in one of the leading newspapers in the region. This is great news not only for the show itself, but also for both local and international exhibitors.' The organisers are also taking the show to Beijing and Singapore over the next six months as the real estate market improves globally.Source: Gulf News
